Music is a very important part of our culture. Children who can't remember their multiplication tables have usually memorized dozens of songs. Other people have put the multiplication tables to music, and I will not duplicate their efforts here. What I will put here are songs I wrote as a teacher to help my students learn. I have written more, and if your child needs one written to help memorize facts, I will gladly try to help. Email me at leonasbraincandy@cheerful.com

As a teacher I always felt compassion for those who had trouble learning. As a result. I began putting important concepts to music, to help my students memorize. This song is short, yet contains the definition of biology and cytology, gives the two facts of the cell theory and gives the scientific definition of life The tune is Mary had a Little Lamb
Biology Biology, the study of life Cytology, the study of cells, All living things are made of cells And cells come from cells
Living things have metabolism, Reproduction, Growth and movement, They’re responsive to their environment And have complex organization. ***************************** This song was written to teach 3rd and fourth graders to find the main things on a map of the Western Hemisphere, so you really need a map to point to once the song is learned. I added the three Island groups because all children hear in science about the Galapagos, and since there are only three main Island groups off of South America, I included them all The tune is Three Blind Mice
NEW WORLD Ice-land, Greenland Can-a-da United States Mexico, Cuba Central America South America Galapagos, Faulkens, South Georgia That's the Western Hemisphere
