Hi! My name is Leona. I have always believed in the healing power of laughter, in our bodies, minds and relationships. I am a people person, and making people smile has always been a big part of my life.
Then I became disabled with Chronic fatigue. Suddenly I was isolated, physically unable to go out and about and interact with people. So my newsletter, and then this sight was born. My health improved somewhat, and I was able to go back to college. I received my AS degree, a dream long deferred. Much as I would like to go on and get my BS, my health and finances aren't up to it.
In addition to this website, I write books- mostly for children. Getting published is my goal, but currently the effort is physically beyond me. I am also a storyteller. I love telling stories, especially Bible stories. I enjoy the look on the faces of my listeners as I make the story come alive and they see it in a new way.
I became a Christian in 1972. I have always loved reading and studying my Bible. Around 1985 or 1986 my husband and I joined our local Calvary Chapel, where we have continued to worship ever since. My husband and I have been married 30 years. He is retired now and spends his time making the most beautiful willow trellises imaginable. Our garden looks incredible, and we will try to get a few pictures of it and the trellises on the site later.
